I have burned a DVD for the Fedora 17 Live CD 64 bit boot from CD. The system boots up fine but when I tried to yum install google-chrome-stable, I have the following
problem (my first yum install texlive-latex is fine):
(I captured this using a phone and typed in here, so there might be spelling mistakes somewhere..)
The whole point I want to say is that I have tried out the yum install command under liveCD or liveUSB
in a few occasions and it seems I always hit the similar nput/output errors.
Once the error occurs, the live session
becomes readonly mode where I cannot save a file, I cannot even shutdown the system properly.
So the question is: It the live session supposed to function well ? will complicated operations such as
yum install will upset the OS ?
I remember I tried to copy some latex files to compile under live session and I had the I/O error during copying.
At that time I thought my flash drive might have a problem.
My real question is that why is Fedora 17 live CD /live USB so unstable ?
I played with the liveUSB of Mint 14 but didn't seem to have the Fedora Live CD session, but of course I must admit that I might not have stressed Mint 14 hard enough.
