F18 and End User...

woes...foes...any way. I'm using F17 and really love it. It is doing everything I need it to do and more. F18 is a whole new thing and while I am hoping it will be an awesome upgrade, I am also reluctant to jump in with both feet. I'm planning on downloading the iso in both 32 and 64bit versions. But, I will wait until enough of you guinea pigs have tried it out before I jump in. So, thanks ahead of time for testing water for me. :C

I am planning on getting a new lap top in the near future and am hoping that F18 will be able to overcome all the new hardware issues that the MS people have created for us. As an end user, I need sound, Flash, printer support, 3d support and audio visual support via my DVD player and web/internet. I also want wireless support. I don't want much and I hope I can get it w/o too much pains.

Oh, I also like KMail in the Kontact set-up. I know how hard that was to get it going in F17, but it was well worth the struggle. I know that many things are usually fixed in the post-release updates so I have very little to fear. And, I enjoy a little challenge, otherwise, life would be boring.:D
