First I want to say kudos to Fedora for including MATE in F18, along with a shout out to the MATE developers who made it possible.
I've been testing extensively and it's running great for me. Everything from MythTV to Gimp 2.8.2 is working fine. The DE feels snappy and I'm more certainly more productive. It's like an old friend has returned from banishment. :D
I would have just posted this in an existing F18 MATE thread but some of those had gotten kinda off topic. :blink:
I do hope there is a future in the partnership between Fedora & MATE.
I hope to see Compiz-MATE be available in the repos soon. ;)
