PROBLEMS f18 INSTALL
(1) time server shows ON and all servers ON but switch must be turned off
and then ON again. time servers are on and there is a message to the contrary
(2) what are these poor choices for software
choosing KDE plasm precludes
(a) "Development and Creative W/S"
(b) all kinds of RDB programs..sure I can install MySQL myself
(c) web server Apache 2.2 in previous fedoras
(d) more:blink:
(3) hidden state (busy or waiting) while choosing options for partitioning
I had to cold reboot three times because I thought I was stuck and I was stuck.
Get the hourglass back
Destination device must be rethought 100%
(4) message at bottom "click for details" CLICK WHERE? Install is hung or very busy
Let me give the install the "common sense" treatment next time
BTW it is "fedup" not "FedUp" in the documentation
The state of the install logic is due to having been designed by people who have
lived with the install 24/7/365
I was careless and downloaded Live Desktop instead of the 4.3 GIG big install iso
the downloads for the true install iso's is hidden and could be a disaster for newbies
Finally made it through...Hope I do not have to repeat install
