Fedora 18 on 2012 Mac's

Hi

I tried booting Live Media on 2012 MAC (via USB and CD), and later I tried a VMWare emulation - both these didn't work. The VMWare was really surprising since it should have worked, but it just brought up till the Boot Screen, the wall paper and stops.

I've now resorted to downloading the DVD, but I wanted to know if Fedora 18 has any issues on Mac - I couldn't find any info, but I did find a blog post indicating it doesnt work..
