I am disappointed by this. I bought a HP-g6 model laptop 2145ss. It has an AMD APU A6-4400M. The CPU should increase freq from 1400 into 1700mhz, and from 1700 into 2700. That's works! However, from 2700 into 3200MHz does not work. Only stay to 2700Mhz frequency.
On Windows this works 100%. I was seeing on CPU-Z utility what's frequency got my CPU overworking. And set into 3200Mhz.
Can help me? I was upgrading the kernel 4 times ago from Fedora updates repo waiting if this is fixed. But is not fixed :(:(
dmesg: http://fpaste.org/4v12/
Freak message on dmesg: [ 3.442275] powernow-k8: this CPU is not supported anymore, using acpi-cpufreq instead.
On F17 default kernel show some states of powernow-k8 such as:
powernow-k8: 2700 mhz
powernow-k8: 1700 mhz
powernow-k8: 1400 mhz
What happen? and What happend with AMD? :S
