Laptop CPU overheating

I've been having this problem with my laptop CPU overheating since around the launch of F18.
At the time I was running F17 without any issues but I decided to upgrade to 18 and so I did. Immediately I noticed my cpu tems going skyhigh:

Code:

> sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1:        +78.0°C  (crit = +103.0°C)

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0:  +78.0°C  (high = +86.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0:        +70.0°C  (high = +86.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1:        +70.0°C  (high = +86.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

asus-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
temp1:        +78.0°C

nouveau-pci-0100
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1:        +60.0°C  (high = +95.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)

Getting tired of this I tried doing a fresh install of F18, didn't work.
Then I tried installing F17 again, still didn't work ( actually reached higher temps than with F18, what the hell?! ).

Note: it doesn't overheat in windows

Laptop specs:

Code:

Intel® Core™ i5 2450M
4GB RAM
NVIDIA® GeForce® 610M 1GB

Any way to fix this?
