Sibilant title aside:
Can anyone recommend a basic step-sequencer that'll work okay in Fedora, please? Back in Windows-land, I used to use a little freeware program called Hotstepper, which allowed me to add my own WAVs to a library and then plot those into a piano-roll/sequencer. I've also used software like AcidPro, and Tuareg & Tunafish, but as yet, I've been unable to locate an alternative that isn't too complicated. Not totally sure yet, but the pool for audio programs in Linux seems a tad smaller - not a criticism, just means there's probably less chaff in the wheat, I guess!
I'm not exactly an expert knob-twiddler, more of an enthusiast who likes to mess around with something simple. Full-featured DAWs (like Ardour) tend to involve more learning time than I'm able to invest at the moment.
Running any of the Windows programs I mentioned above through WINE is a last-resort option, BTW - I'm commited to Linux, so I'd like to try out native Linux programs!
Suggestions would be much appreciated.
