I have a HP 5180 printer on a fixed IP (I also have another HP 2100 on a fixed IP).
Using Fedora 16 and 12 before that, I could find and add both printers.
With Fedora 18, I can find the 2100 printer fine and use it, but when I try to add the 5180, it says it cannot find the printer when I enter the IP address.
The printer responds to ping fine and can be found by Windows 7. The comm. port is 9100.
What can I do to try to get this printer working with Fedora 18?
Can I telnet the port and try something (print blank page)????
