Avoid "The child process exited normally with status 0."

Hello,

I'm trying to get my gnome-terminal to launch the 'top' command at launch by checking the box labelled custom command and placing 'top' in it. problem is I cant use the terminal once i exit 'top' with 'q'. A bar appears at the top saying'The child process exited normally with status 0.' with the option to relaunch but not break out of the loop.

Any help please :)
