Hello everyone...
Just curious if there is an easy way to take an open sourced source/git/package ...whatever and create an RPM out of it.
The reason why I'm asking is I don't want to keep bothering people to help me do things like this, when if I'm just taught, I can do it myself.
What is the learning curve? What are the challenges? Is there a point and click option? Does RPM have like a type of compiler or is it wrapped up with some sort of fake compression type and packaged with just an RPM extension?
It seems that everyone is making .deb packages because of the claim that Ubuntu is the most popular distro out there... even though Shuttleworth is behind it. Shocking I know... but whatever. It just remains that people aren't giving an RPM of the same software, because of this belief.
Can we... the lowly, create an RPM or does the gods of fedora only get to?
