Hi,
Using Fedora 18 x86_64, I get intermittent connection errors with rlogin:
# rlogin -l testuser localhost
Password:
rlogin: connection closed.
Firewall is disabled. Other xinetd services (eg: rsh) are working fine. The problem occurs either with local user or NIS user (with or without .rhosts file).
/var/log/message
Mar 19 17:00:25 hostname xinetd[842]: START: login pid=3263 from=::ffff:a.b.c.f
Mar 19 17:00:27 hostname xinetd[842]: EXIT: login status=0 pid=3263 duration=2(sec)
strace log (/usr/bin/strace -f -o /tmp/rsh-server.trace /usr/sbin/in.rlogind) : see attached file.
(a.b.c.f = client machine, a.b.c.d,e = dns/nis servers)
Thanks in advance for your help,
Mathieu
