I had F18 installed and was running OK. The other day I noticed it had a problem shutting down list. It froze up and I had to turn the power switch off.
I don't remember if it started to not boot the next time I turned it on or not. I did a few updates.
For whatever reason it now doesn't boot up completely. It stalls at the point where the is a blue background with an f in a circle in the center of the screen. It does this if I choose to boot up with the latest kernel or the earlier two.
I. can get to the grub command line. I had some similar problem a couple of years ago. I seem to remember a procedure where used a command to fix or rebuild or something. I think it involved un mounting the system drive or something.
Can someone advise me what I should do?
