Hello, I am new to Fedora and a noob at Linux in general. Everything seems to work great so far on Linux except my audio jacks.
I am running on a Dell Studio XPS 1647. There are two headphone jacks and a microphone jack which in Windows can be configured to be front, back and center speakers.
When I plug in a pair of headphones to either of the two headphone jacks the audio coming from the laptop speakers stop, but the sound does not continue to play from the headphones.
I have the same problem with Ubuntu.
Thank you in advance for your help. I'd really like to use and learn linux full time but I would like to be able to use headphones in public places.
Also, my HDMI has audio out and I use it to connect to my DVI monitor. Not sure if that affects anything. I have tried getting sound through the headphone jacks without the HDMItoDVI plugged in.
