Looking at EtherApe last night I noticed the web site yts1.yql.vip.ne1.yahoo.com showed up fairly regularly. I narrowed it down to the fact my system accessed it every time I changed web pages in Firefox.
Thinking it was my Firefox browser, I shut down Firefox and opened a web page using Lynx (a command line, text only browser), my system immediately accessed .yts1yql.vip.ne1.yahoo.com.
I used Lynx to go to this site and it turns out to have a database web page with queries such as my social profile, my friends, the social profile of my friends, etc.
What I want to know is what software is doing this and how do I stop it.
Best regards,
Bob G.
