Hi all I have decided to give linux a go and chose fedora. From thier web page I downloaded the default application and it seemed to install fine. Now what?!
I am unable to follow the basic get started guides. For example to install new software it says in part:
Fedora systems also include a graphical interface to yum, which appears on the Main Menu under Applications > Add/Remove Software.
I have no main menu and the rest is a mystery to me at this time.
All I have is an activities menu and all it seems to want to let me do is use firefox and playback media.
Any advice on where to go to start learning about how to use fedora that does not rely on you already knowing how to use it would be great!
