I personally think Vala has a lot of potential and is currently underutilized in the world. One of my favorite things about it is its source-to-source compiler, which replaces a virtual machine just as JVM or CLI. However, this idea is strictly based on a theoretical view of Vala. Could anyone with experience coding in Vala tell me what (s)he thinks about it? How does it compare in performance, ease of use, etc. with other languages?
