No sound with zynsubaddfx 2.2.4.3 built from source fc18 x86

Hi,

After building zyn 2.2.4.3, I can only generate wav files and hear no sound with virtual kb. The wav files have normal sound. Also no audible sound from zyn & yoshimi binaries installed via yum, likely b/c they were compiled for oss.

Everything else zyn apparently works ok and my other jack-routed apps (eg din, ardour, hydrogen, lmms) are working a-ok, along with jackd v1.9.9.5 running in RT mode.

This is on an acer aspire V3-771G-9875 with built-in [intel] audio. Pulseaudio starts at boot but I kill it (no autospawn) before starting zyn.

Using Mate 1.5.8 desktop.

Tried adding myself to the audio group but that didn't get sound working.

Any suggestions for what else I can do to get sound? All other audio apps worked fine except zyn & yoshimi (of the few I've tried).

Thanks!

Edit: neglected to mention I configured zyn for jack non-RT support (RT is broken)
