F18, unable to make Nvidia card work

EVGA GeForce GTX 550Ti
Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 (w/ onboard graphics)

I've read this thread already: http://www.forums.fedoraforum.org/sh...d.php?t=280750

It doesn't help me though, because when I have my vid card in my computer, there is no image on monitor. At all. The only way I can get video is to take out the vid card and connect vga cable from mobo to monitor. I have done the steps in the above link while my video card was out of the machine. I know the video card is good because I tested in my friends machine that has a mobo w/ NO onboard graphics. I have been using the HD Intel integrated graphics for a few months because I cant make it work. I used to use this card when I had Linux Mint 11 on this same machine. I had to blacklist Nouveau and do some other kernel modifications, but that was more than a year ago and for the life of me cant remember what I did to make it work.

Anyone have any ideas?
