On freshly installed Fedora18, I had a lot of problems getting the computer to actually connect to the network (although the status was 'connected' all the time). I read many threads with similar problems and, somehow, I got 'ping 4.2.1.0 -c3' to work, and could install a couple of packages.
Now, however, the troubles have started again - although the status is 'connected' and the network has decent signal (I am using it now, on a different computer), after a few seconds the computer stops connecting to the internet (ping, as well as the browser, stop working). I have to manually disconnect and reconnect, and then it works for a few seconds and again it stops. It's a nightmare and I do not know what else to try. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Network adapter is Realtek RTL8188CE. My original thread is here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...et-4175459896/
Thank you,
