Amazon's software for composing or editing captions on your customer-submitted photos seems to have an interesting 'feature". If you include the word "seller's" in the caption and press save, the whole caption vanishes. This even happens if the caption is just the single word "seller's". (I haven't tried submitting photos of any product involving Peter Sellers, but I'm tempted to.)
I understand the motivation for such a feature - not allowing photos to comment on the product representations of Amazon sellers. I wonder if deleting the caption is done temporarily to keep it from being publiished while it is sent to some human evaluator - or whether it's just deleted without any appeal process.
