after upgrading fedora I got some problem with permissions, first I recognized that I'm not allowed to change network connections, but I'm also not allowed to install/uninstall with apper, even when I open nightingale there is no sound and a message pops up, that I have no proper rights. I suggest this problem appears every time fedora normally asks for root authentication.
First I upgraded from F16 to F17 via preupgrade, after booting F17 this issue appeared. Assuming it could may be a bug that could be fixed in F18, I decided to upgrade another time via Fedup, but the problem is still existent.
Meanwhile I figured out it probably has to do with polkit. I also read about polkit replacing policykit and that it's not backwards compatible. Is it possible that polkit was introduced in F17 and during upgrade something has gone wrong porting policykit configuration to polkit?
Or has anyone another idea what's the problem and how to fix it? Can anyone help please?
