Hi!
I recently did an upgrade of fedora 17 because the kernel got corrupted after some problems with Broadcom wireless drivers.
The Upgrade worked, fedora booted, but then I couldn't login. The KDM showed me an error message, and got back to the login screen.
I pressed Alt+F2 but I couln't login either.
In a live session I chrooted the computer, and I could work normally with the accounts (upgrading, change login). I even created a new account for testing.
But then when I boot normally could not login.
And in the KDM log there was nothing helpful, except some message about the keyboard layer.
The only thing worked to login was to boot as single user, but if I start kdm again not a chance to login ...
I even disabled selinux.
It appears that another user has the same problem as me: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=882491 (last post)
but it seems nothing happend since then.
Is there something I can do, except fresh reinstallation?
