Hey, I'm really new to Linux / Fedora. Now that I'm off for the summer I have time to play with and experiment with Linux.
However I'm having a problem no matter what computer I tried installing Linux on. I don't think this is exclusive to Fedora because I remember having this problem when I tried installing Ubuntu a few months ago.
Anyway I notice this mostly when I'm on my laptops as my battery (which gets about 10 hours in Windows) gets about 3 in Linux.
I notice that my cpu fan ramps up and becomes really noisy when it boots into the o.s. This happens on my desktop and on both of my laptops. I know that this isn't the only thing contributing to the battery but I'm curious as what kind of power management options I have in Fedora or Linux to fix this problem.
Also I posted this in Hardware because it's an issue with my physical hardware and I'm assuming the 'solution' will be exclusive to Fedora
