So the notebook I use is meant for gaming oringal, but the older laptop the motherboard failed. So now I use the laptop for work. Which I do lot of printer repairs the main programs I use for this word processer, spreedsheet, pdf, and web to download drivers. So I used the restore partition on my laptop to run fedroa. For the most part it seems work out fairly nice. I use cinnamon as the gui. Even have bumble bee load to run optmus tech on it. Which make the laptop have responsible battery life, equal to it windows. I have not done actual testing just from stand part of using it. I would be hard to say one is better then other. For everday use non gaming fedroa works well. I hoping steam linux will get more games running on linux but windows is still the best platform gaming support.
