Evolution PGP issue

Hi,

I have not a clue where to ask about this problem. So if the thread would be better assigned on Fedora somewhere else, please report/move it thanks. In the mean time. I've been trying to get to grips with PGP. I tried thunderbird... but I think I'll be switching to Evolution permanently.

Either way the same problem occurs.

When I click options > Sign and options > Encrypt for PGP and then try to send I get the following output...

"An error occurred while sending....
The reported error was "Welcome response error: I/O operation timed out".

Any help would be greatly and warmly appreciated. All I want to do is to be able to encrypt mail and decrypt it. Thanks!

Edit.

Turns out it won't let me send at all. All the ports seem to be fine, I've checked the servers port just to check...and I can connect to it.

Edit 2:

I suspect the only reason I can't solve this one myself is because I don't understand what the error is talking about. I can 'receive' mail through the encrypted SSL server without problem and it's the same server to send. They support SSL/TLS, The server type is SMTP (though SSMTP on their documentation). I actually don't think that I'm getting to the stage where Evolution is contacting the server.

I am thinking that it might have something to do with enigmail or the gnupg add on however can't confirm nor can I find out how to disable it to test.

What I'm doing:

Opening up Evolution Mail and setting up an account.
Receiving Mail. Pop. *********.dizinc.com port 110 (evolution default).

Security: Using TLS
Auth Type: Password

Sending Email. SMTP. *********.dizinc.com port 465 (they specify a different port)

Security: Using TLS (It's supported).
Auth: PLAIN

Security

Entered PGP ID
Left everything else as default

.....

Write email to send to a gmail account
Options > Disable PGPSign & PGP Encrypt

Entered subject and message.

Clicked send.

GOT:

"An error occurred while sending....
The reported error was "Welcome response error: I/O operation timed out".

After a long loading period of "Sending Message".

Okay, I have it default working...kinda. I basically did a step by step install and test making sure everything worked. Now. I have everything working. Kinda back to Thunderbird. However I still get a problem.

If I click "Sign Message" (Both in Evolution or Thunderbird) and then click 'Send' It doesn't do anything O.o...well, apart from the timing out...
