can not get to the log in screen

Help
i have never ever used any linux os,
but i have fadora on my other laptop. i did not install it on the laptop it was done by a now ex friend (long story) but when i got the laptop back he had whipped my hard drive of the windows os and put fedora on it i accessed the desk top and added my account as admin and then deleted his account and then i set the os for auto login, and now for some reason unknown to me i can not access my account at all.

after the laptop boots it goes to a screen that shows the word fedora then below that is says sign in and then not listed and when i try to click on sign in it will not let me and when i click on not listed it comes up with username and then when i put in my name (after a minunte or so it says authorize error and then go back to the last screen and i can not get so i can log in to my account what can i do or what do i need to do and can you please do step by step.

i am not computer smart and trying to learn this as much as i can but right now i am about ready to put my fist though the screen any help will do
