Mobo replaced,then UEFI boot failure

My ASUS M5A97 mobo went bad and was replaced with the same model under warranty. I plugged in all my components (exact same hardware), and after the ASUS splash screen I got the error "Reboot and select proper boot device." I only have one HD and a DVD drive, I made the HD first in the boot order, and even manually selected to boot it from the BIOS utility, and the same error comes up. I was successfully running Fedora 18 with UEFI and GPT disk before the mobo failure.

I'm beginning to think I need to rebuild the GPT, Grub2, and/or other things that happen behind the scenes during an installation. Is this something I can do with a rescue disk? When I tried the rescue, it said there were no linux partitions to mount. Could it be because the rescue environment is not UEFI? Is there any hope that I can get my hard drive and files back? Does anyone have any thoughts on what went wrong? I'm not a noob, but I will need detailed guidance on any repair commands.

Thanks to all.
