yum update & yum check

I've had some odd problems with the update function, frequently hanging or never ending. I've waited (once overnight) and have found that when it hangs, I have to force a re-boot.
Because of this I tried a yum update, it returned an error. Yum check returned this:

Protected multilib versions: libbluray-0.2.3-1.fc18.i686 != libbluray-0.3.0-5.fc18.x86_64
[root@localhost greg]# yum check
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
libmusicbrainz4-4.0.3-4.fc17.x86_64 is a duplicate with libmusicbrainz4-4.0.1-1.fc17.x86_64
transmission-common-2.77-2.fc17.x86_64 is a duplicate with transmission-common-2.50-2.fc17.x86_64
transmission-gtk-2.77-2.fc17.x86_64 is a duplicate with transmission-gtk-2.50-2.fc17.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-synaptics-1.6.3-4.fc17.x86_64 has missing requires of xserver-abi(xinput-16) >= ('0', '0', None)
Error: check all

Now what? How do I tell what is using which?
