Ar8162 wired drivers

Hi all,

I have a brand new lenovo g580 laptop. Wireless is flawless but wired not getting detected.

uname -r

3.9.6-200.fc18.x86_64

lspci result

01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR8162 Fast Ethernet (rev 10)

i downloaded the following tar ball

compat-drivers-2013-03-04-u.tar.bz2

extracted and navigated to the folder. Ran the script sudo ./scripts/driver-select alx and result the result are as follows.

Backup exists: Makefile.bk
Backup exists: Makefile.bk
Backup exists: drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/Makefile.bk
Backup exists: drivers/net/ethernet/atheros/Makefile.bk
Backup exists: Makefile.bk
Backup exists: Makefile.bk
Backup exists: drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/Makefile.bk

further i made make install and the result was

Updating Fedora's initramfs for 3.9.6-200.fc18.x86_64 under /boot/ ...

make -C /lib/modules/3.9.6-200.fc18.x86_64/build M=/home/amod/Downloads/compat-drivers-2013-03-04-u modules
make: *** /lib/modules/3.9.6-200.fc18.x86_64/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [modules] Error 2
