I recently installed fedora 18 on this hybrid laptop, and since day 1 the following has been a problem. The trackpad will not work after booting from a complete shutdown. To enable the device, I must boot, and then select restart from the desktop, which enables the device once the machine has rebooted. It seems restart has a different function than shutdown/manual restart. I am using the latest xorg drivers for f18, and the device registers on xinput and synclient after a restart. It does not show up on either of these if booting from a complete shutdown. I have searched around for about a week to try and fix this issue; any help would be appreciated.
