My fans on my Lenovo 500Y notebook, was running almost constant.
According to "powertop" my "Audio codec hwC0D0: Realtek" was using 100% all the time.
Turning off the microphones solved the problem !
"Audio codec hwC0D0: Realtek" is no longer even listed in "powertop" and fans is running normal.
This is clearly not acceptable as i am using voice communication. (ex. Skype)
Is there another way to fix this ??
Edit : Correction, "Audio codec hwC0D0: Realtek" is still listed as using 100%, but dont stay like that all the time, when mic is turned off.
