Windows messed up my boot partition on my dual boot system (Windows 7 and Fedora 18).
Now after each reboot the grub loader starts with:
I have a Windows partition (sda1, sda2 and sda3) and LVM encrypted partitions (sda4), which include a home, boot, swap and root partition.
I also tried to mount the encrypted LVM partitions to at least make a backup (using the Fedora Installer DVD), but I cannot mount the partitions as I can not find out how to mount them (fdisk -l only says "/dev/sda4 Extended partition", and commands like lvdisplay don't find the LVM volumes either).
I also tried to reinstall the boot partition with the Fedora 18 installer DVD, but it seems I cannot do that without reformating (deleting) the home partition.
Now after each reboot the grub loader starts with:
error: no such partition. What can I do to get Grub2 working correctly again?
