Can't Uninstall Anything in Fedora 19

I installed the KDE version of 64-bit Fedora 19 from the Live CD onto my laptop.

It runs great, with one exception. I can't uninstall ANYTHING. For example, I installed Code::Blocks (with Apper), but later decided I didn't want it. When I tried to uninstall it, it refused to uninstall because it said there were other programs that depended on it. This is untrue. Nothing depended on Code::Blocks. The system was running just fine before I installed Code::Blocks and I hadn't installed anything else after it.

The same thing happened with MonoDevelop, etc.

Every time I install something, the system absolutely refuses to uninstall it later, if I decide I don't need it.

This situation is really frustrating as I tend to install and uninstall things until I find just the right combination to suit me. Now, I can't install anything without filling my hard drive with more and more stuff that won't uninstall.

I've never seen anything like it before. The only thing I can think of that is different from other times I've experimented with Fedora is that this is the first time I've ever installed Linux on a UEFI laptop. Could UEFI have something to do with this?

If not, does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Thanks in advance,

Todd
