Hiya peeps....
Currently using fedora 19 with kde... I like kde but apparently there is no way for you to install anything in apper or make any changes that require root access without going through konsol and it won't bring up the password box...
firstly if i did
would that install everything i need to move over to the gnome desktop?
if so how would i switch to using it so I could remove KDE? (no point in having both! - may even go xfce)
also will this help with the no root password thing? I knowothers have had the same issues but no one seems to have an answer that solves the issue...
Thanks
Edit: just tried installing something on my laptop using the fedora 19 design spin with gnome... it seems to install but not ask for the password... is this how it works now??
edit#2: nope... just hanging.... is this just fedora 19 then?
