Tried to upgrade F16 to F17 and couldn't get past grub issues. Previous setup was OS on SSD with a separate /home dir on a much bigger magnetic disk HD using only physical volumes.
Performed a full fresh install of F17 on SSD with a default partitioning and LVM. Now I have /swap, /home (empty), and /root on the SSD and can mount the old HD containing all my /oldhome data.
With the new LVM2 config, I am unsure how to remove the /home on SSD and have the system recognize the old home dir.
Most of the instructions I've come across suggest adding a new volume group partition to the HD but I have no room (10GB for old_swap and the remainder old_home).
