Running Fedora 17 x86_64
I promise this time its different. I download libdvdcss from videolan svn and compiled. No issues there. I event made sure that the location it installed it in (/usr/local/lib/) is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH and LD_RUN_PATH. Then I installed the rpm for the rpmfusion repo and installed vlc. It pulled in a whole bunch of stuff that it should (libdvdread, libdvdnav, ffmpeg, etc) and seemed to install fine. I then made sure my user was a member of the group cdrom, and then rebooted for completeness sake. I then made a link from /dev/sr0 to /dev/dvd so there would be no confusion. I then fired up vlc. It saw the disk, tried to read it and .. nothing. Confused, I fired it up from the command line and this is what I got.

Now this happens for any dvd - old or new, fancy or simple. I will note that I cant get totem to play a dvd either. Any ideas?
