USB Drive. Linux files and directories are marked as Windows System files

Hi all,

I have a situation to which I've searched for an answer but so far haven't got anything.

I use Linux as my main OS. As such, I save some work files on an USB drive.

When I insert the USB on a Windows box, the files and directories seem to be missing, but if I enable Windows to show hidden system files, the files appear again.

So it seems that Linux is marking those files in some way that makes Windows think they are system files.

Is there a way to change that under Linux? or even under Windows? I have to add that this does not happen on all Windows boxes. For example on my laptops I have nmo such problem.

Thanks in advance for any tips,
