Hi,
This problem shouldn't be too difficult since it was working on Kubuntu, but I just don't know where to start!
I've just moved over to fedora 17 from Kubuntu, along with a hardware upgrade. I cannot get the sound to work in fedora, but when I tried booting my old Kubuntu system the sound just works.
the device from lspci is:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation Panther Point High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)
I am running an i5-3750k on a z77 motherboard and using the on board graphics and sound.
Everything has been left as default apart from selecting HDMI output with the gnome settings manager, and fiddling with the volumes with alsamixer (which does nothing in either system when HDMI is the output).
This is my results from the alsa script: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/f=c1e...cc1f2970ee2013
