I have back to back problem with my F17.
I have successfully installed F17 on my Samsung notebook so I wanted on my netbook which always struggled with window 7 that came with it.
Now I have two problems that prevents each other problem from getting fixed
I know that in order for wireless on my netbook to work, I have to download the separate package (kmod -wl I believe) but I cannot do that because my yum update, install or any yum thing is not working.
It outputs...
$sudo yum update
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refreshed-packagekit
Error: Cannot retrieve metalink for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again.
I went through EVERYTHING such as adding additional lines to /etc/hosts and disabling NetworkManage and ete.
But I don't think it will help anything unless I have some kind of internet connection, which is impossible at this situation right now. I only have wireless not Ethernet...
This is very troublesome right now... Is there any way to fix this problem?!?!
Or should I just give up until I get the chance to snatch up Ethernet?
P.S. oh and I do AVOID using GUI update or install like a pest....
