Looks like there was a recent xorg update to the nvidia display drivers to go with the 3.6.7 kernel in fedora 17.
Since then, whenever I try to start a VM in VirtualBox, it crashes the xserver.
Is anyone else seeing this?
Booting the 3.6.6 kernel now exhibits the problem too. Guess I could try previos xorg.nvidia drivers?

marking solved.
I searched the site more after posting and read where /etc/X11/xorg.d/00-nvidia.conf was apparently not getting read.
Adding both modulepath lines to /etc/X11/xorg.conf fixed the crash.
