Hello I am a longtime linux user who occasionally tries out other Linuxes and sees how they work with my machine.
My primary distro is Ubuntu, I know I know but Ubuntu has a very vast library of packagers on it.
But on that some token so does Fedora it seems, I was able to find most of what I wanted and so far its been a decent experience.
I am using the KDE version as I hate HATE Gnome shell with a passion and while KDE in fedora seems a bit underwhelming compared to say openSUSE another distro I use from time to time for the most part this seems okay.
However there is one issue i really want fixed.
I am using Fedora 18 64bit and as I mentioned the KDE version.
I watch a lot of flash videos and so i use google chrome as my primary browser as I know flash is all but dead except chrome in linux.
However I am using the standard linux flash as right now I am having issues with pepperflash it seems.
My audio in flash videos sound sped up, everything sounds higher pitched ad squeaky.
The issue points to pulseaudio and me using HDMI.
Now I do have standard audio jacks here, but when I try to use my analog output as default it resets every time I log in or wake up from screensaver.
So how do I solve my issue?
Most pulse controls are for gnome and while i did try them none seem to want to work with KDE.
And so I am stuck, and i really want to make a permanant solution.
Most instructions I have on fixing it are for ubuntu, I need a fedora based solution.
Preferably one without using the gnome version
