[SOLVED] Fedora not recognising partitions

Hope this hasn't been asked before.

I have just rebuilt my laptop after having it successfully run Wins 7 and F17. I have Windows installed from the recovery disks and there are 3 partitions. Two Dell and Windows. The rest of the drive is empty.

I have tried both F18 and F19 and neither see the existing partitions they both think the drive is empty.

Output from fdisk -l
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 63 208843 104390+ 6 FAT16
Partition 1 does not start on physical sector boundary
/dev/sda2 * 212992 41172991 204800000 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
/dev/sda3 41172992 236485480 976556244+ 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
/dev/sda4 236485494 1465160129 614337318 f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
Partition 4 does not start on physical sector boundary.

I'd like to split partition 4 up into /, /boot, /swap and the rest as a shared ntfs data drive (mimicing what I had with F17).

Partition table is MBR.

If possible I'd prefer to keep the Dell partitions just in case they come in handy or in case I can't restore from DVD without them.

I'd like to go to either 18 or 19 as 17 is EOL soon and I want to play with it before updating my servers.
