wifi / cable networking not recognized after power out

Hello fellows.

I have a problem with my Fedora 16 running on Dell Studio 1558.
While working, my laptop performed shut down due to overheating. Now the system does not recognize any way to connect to the internet. It appears to be stuck in "airplane mode". Any ideas what to do?
