Hello everyone.
I am new to Fedora and have little experience with linux overall, having tried Mint, Ubuntu, openSUSE and a few others. I personally like the gnome-shell and have had no problems so far in other distros.
However in Fedora, there's this annoying grey bar at the bottom which has a hotspot corner at the bottom right and whenever I open the Desktop overview (activities), it comes up - tried changing themes, but it remains the same. This never happened previously in other distros running the same version of Gnome shell.
I am running Fedora 17 with all patches - Gnome 3.4.2 - nvidia kmod installed (problem was there with nouveau too)
Have a look at the screenshot please:

Any help appreciated, I am a little weak in CLI so please a little patience here :C
Thanks.
