Remedys for the KDE resource hungry slowness

I have been using mate desktop for a while now, on f17, tried 18 to buggy, used redhat, fastest of all...But when it comes down to KDE its a different store, And im using a q8300 quad core overclocked 4500 mhz, 8gb patriot ram, wd caviar black, a fast lil rig, But with kde, no acception, I find that dolphin even loads slow, Things seem to run ok when they are running, but the overall launch speed of apps is a mess, I mean could it be things in background? perhaps a bad scripting job? The speed of kde has varied depending on what flavour of linux im using, not to be rude, but fedora being my slowest experience, And redhat at my fastest, But because of this reason Ive stuck to mate gnome, which I also find much simpler and easier to use, where kde is all bloated and irritating!!

Hmm lets brainstorm some ideas that could better kde's reputation for all u kde lovers out there...

1.. How could we make it more optimized, and run faster.

2... I Personally find it a lil bloated as if they try to hard, which makes it not as easy to use.

3.. Concider a menu alternative similar to the mate main menu. I mean if u ate bread everyday, wouldnt u get sick of it?

4...Possibly add some of the features, that gnome also has, and bits n pieces from others aswell, such as mate etc, but building it for kde, rather than a rigged port.

So anyone have any ideas on how to speed kde up, both usage speed, and usability?
Post your thoughts below...

Im bored so i posted this..
